This project was sort of hard for me. I really struggled with the various lasso and selection tools. Mainly when it came to cutting out a portion of a photo, so there was a lot of reviewing. I quickly realized that I needed to rasterize some of the images in order to cut out part(s). I worked on using the many lasso and selection tools as well as the hue/saturation tool. The hue/saturation tool quickly was the easiest to use and might be my favorite, but once I got into a rhythm of using the selection tool to cut out parts of images. I wanted my pieces to give off a feeling of “what’s out there” and some “mystery.” For the food piece, I chose foods that not only matched the color of their placement but mostly were naturally the color of their placement.
