An invitation designed for a Bachelors of Fine Arts Graphic Design exhibition titled Geist. The dimensions are 6 x 9 inches. Geist means ghost in the machine and I used this meaning to show a ghostly effect on the front of the invitation using different opacities. I took these images myself to show the process of opening the invitation.
I started sketching on a vertical format but as I started working digitally, I switched to a horizontal format to allow better stacking of the type. The white type has different opacities on a dark blue background to show this spirit effect and hierarchy while being cost efficient on only needing to print one color.
