Mt. Week is a product that describes a week's journey with the motif of a mountain.
It consists of a mountain-shaped object and a digital clock.
Mt. Week는 산을 모티브로 일주일의 여정을 풀어낸 제품으로,
산 형상의 오브제와 디지털 시계로 구성됩니다.
BACKGROUND
Mt. Week is a product for many modern people who work hard waiting for the weekend.
Mt. Week는 주말을 기다리며 부단히 노력하는 수많은 현대인들을 위한 제품입니다.
The hardships we feel while climbing the mountain and the happiness when we reach the top are similar to our feelings of enduring weekdays and celebrating the weekend.
As the weekend approaches, expectations grows, and the excitement of reaching the top of the mountain is shown to the product.
산을 오르며 느끼는 고단함과 그 정상에 올랐을 때의 행복감은, 평일을 인내하여 주말을 맞이한 우리의 마음과 닮아 있습니다.
이때 주말이 다가올수록 기대감이 커지는 마음을 산 정상이 가까워질 때의 두근거림에 빗대어 제품으로 풀어내었습니다.
Mt. Week is divided into seven areas, representing a week's journey.
The sphere climbs the mountain dilligently during weekdays and descend with ease during the weekend.
Users will find themselves excited while watching the sphere moving towards the weekend.
길을 따라 움직이는 구슬은 평일 동안 열심히 산을 오르고, 주말 동안 가벼운 마음으로 하산합니다.
사용자는 함께 주말을 향해 달려가는 구슬을 보며 어느새 설레고 있는 자신을 발견하게 됩니다.
As the cone rotates, the sphere will always be located where the user sees it.
콘이 회전함에 따라 구슬은 사용자가 바라보는 곳에 항상 위치하게 됩니다.
When you put the sphere on the road, the magnet inside moves along the rail, leading the sphere along the surface.
구슬을 길 위에 올려놓으면, 내부의 자석이 레일을 따라 움직이면서 길 표면의 구슬을 이끌어 갑니다.
A new week begins when the sphere reaches the starting point after the weekend.
주말 구간을 지나 구슬이 출발점에 다다르면, 새로운 한 주가 시작됩니다.
The quiet but constantly moving sphere symbolizes us living silently every day by day.
조용하지만 끊임없이 움직이는 구슬은 묵묵히 매일을 살아가는 우리의 모습을 상징합니다.
