This coupling consists of a redesign to replace the lack of raw material through 3D printing, this way it adapts to local technologies, costs and availability.
Adaptation
Tolerances and the nature of 3D printing by FDM (Fused Deposition Modeling) were taken into account, as well as the functionality of the missing part, to meet requirements for material savings, cost reduction, resistance and quality of the final product.
Production
Once the prototypes were made, the toughness, tolerances and screw functionality were adjusted, and then some printing had to be made to ensure continuous production. For this it was anticipated that printing all pieces simultaneusly was a big mistake, in order to get the best finish, and the less mistakes (and therefore a minor material loss) it should print one by one, or in groups of three to avoid ruin the whole print. The gcode was edited in such a way that we could print continously and take advantage of all the heated bed.
