Come siamo arrivati ad amare i Gangster Movie?
Il dualismo di natura sociale tra malvivente e funzionario della legge accompagna la storia del genere gangster fin dalle sue prime rappresentazioni. Le immagini di quel mito americano essenzialmente violento, che attraverso il western può riferirsi a un passato ricordato ormai solamente per il valore storico, con il genere gangster obbligano lo spettatore a confrontarsi con una realtà prossima a lui, senza condizioni per poterla ostacolare. Per Collater.al Magazine ho realizzato una serie di illustrazioni a tema "Gangster Movie" che spiegassero il contesto, le peculiarità e i cult del genere.
Lo stile di illustrazioni digitali prendono ispirazione dai metodi di stampa degli anni '70, con effetti grunge e stampe rovinate, figlie della tecnica serigrafica.

The style of digital illustrations take inspiration from the printing methods of the '70s, with grunge effects and ruined prints, daughters of the screen printing technique.
