DUCK FAKE NEWS

Efforts to promote Covid-19 vaccination among HIV+ communities in Vietnam remain challenging. Fears, doubts, and fake news outspread real science. Well, if you can't beat them, join them.

We took the Vietnamese slang for fake news ("tin vịt" or “duck news”) literally. And created a duck who's an amateur YouTuber that spreads (obviously) fake news about the vaccine, and gets corrected by doctors.
Our ducking host is an aging, balding man child who buys medicine from YouTube ads, invests in dogecoin, is a victim of pyramid schemes and everything marked as “News" on the internet.

He has his own neighborhood news channel - TinVit24.

Hyper-real animation modeled after clay for a homemade feel, consistent with the vibe of the duck's basement studio.
Once we lower the audience's guards we presented them with animated scientific facts that debunk fake news.
Typography and colors take inspiration from click-baiting thumbnails and headlines.
The website is intended to be a library of fake news, followed by scientific facts.
The strategy was to intercept searches for fake news.
