Running the Victoria Falls Marathon and Adventures in Zimbabwe and Botswana
From Wikipedia -
"Victoria Falls (Lozi: Mosi-oa-Tunya, "The Smoke That Thunders"; Tonga: Shungu Namutitima, "Boiling Water") is a waterfall on the Zambezi River in southern Africa, which provides habitat for several unique species of plants and animals. It is located on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe[1] and is one of the world's largest waterfalls, with a width of 1,708 m (5,604 ft)."

I was fortunate to experience Africa on the occasion of running my 7th Continent of marathons. You can read more about those experiences at my latest website - Carl Byington Marathons.

Victoria Falls Marathon
The Victoria Falls Marathon is a unique smaller boutique marathon that allows you to run across the bridge between Zimbabwe and Zambia. The early morning start provides a wonderful opportunity to see the Falls with the light of dawn. After a small loop around the Customs area in Zambia, the runners then return to Zimbabwe for the remainder of the marathon. The heat and animal encounters definitely make the long run more challenging and memorable.

Other Cool Activities
In addition to the marathon, there is plenty of opportunity for other amazing adventures including land and water safaris, whitewater rafting, bungee jumping in the gorge, four wheeling, canoeing, and much more. Just watch out for those crocodiles and hippos!
