REST.Ceramics - Eveline & Whitey

I met Luke a.k.a. Whitey long long time ago when we were skateboarding with the whole crew in the neighbourhood. I was just a kid and Whitey was young and beautiful, which probably means that we are both very old right now :).
I remember at that time Whitey was like a walking ADHD guy. Cap turned backwards, the loudest of the crew, he was just everywhere and it was hard to miss him. He has always been a fan of heavy sounds and for me he always looked like the Warsaw version of Fred Durst ;).
That's why it was a bit of a shock for me when I discovered on Instagram that the guy is currently dealing with… ceramics. You know, like he sits by the potter's wheel and makes cups and bowls by his hands. And that it’s not some sort of sophisticated joke, he really does it and he runs his own studio selling his own works. Say what?! But why the heck not, right?

But Whitey is not alone in this whole ceramics thing. He is accompanied by a beautiful girl and companion of his life - Eveline. I know Eveline much less, because I met her just before the shoot. For me, she is the complete opposite of Whitey. Quiet and calm. Probably one of those who prefers doing rather than talking about it ;). But something tells me that she is responsible for the entire brand and image of the "RESTs". She’s an architect by education, a designer by profession and a fantastic photographer - I didn't have to explain my photography concepts for a long time. Be sure to check out her profile: @ewelina_eliasz. Apparently she took up ceramics because once she was looking for the perfect flower pot cover and ... she didn't find it :). She went to one workshop and the rest is history :).

And don't let this tiny vibey studio fool you. This is not just a weekend hobby or a springboard from a corpo job. Eveline and Whitey devoted themselves to ceramics 100% and in less than two years they created a legit business generating real income. A perfect example of true passion becoming a way of life. And the whole thing has even greater power because they do it together. No photo will tell you how much of their hard work and heart and soul went into this project. Only they know that. Mega respect.
And from what I heard this is not their last word :).
