Base
A typeface designed by Franco Cervi.
The Base project is composed of: a new typeface developed on a booklet in a limited edition of 150 individually numbered copies; a poster in a limited edition of 300 copies; a series of three artistic screen-prints, each in a limited edition of 20 copies individually numbered, signed and watermarked.

Base is a typeface designed by Franco Cervi that sums up his original creative vision: a minimalist approach, formal rigor and an aptitude for experimentation.

This booklet, besides showing the complete set of the designed characters – including glyphs – also illustrates their graphic personality in an elegant way, the refined constructive anatomy, the geometric ratios that generate the kerning. The appendix contains four brilliant meta-graphic applications.
