Echidna on Puffing Billy

This is the 8th piece in my series about Australian Wildlife and Puffing Billy #aussiewildlifeadventures

The creation of this piece began with photographing a rescue echidna just prior to it's release back into the wild. Resuer Lyndal from Locky's Legacy and Sarah from W.I.S.H once again worked with me (see other pieces featuring their rescues in links below) so that I could photograph differenct angles of this echidna before it was returned to the wild.

The young echidna had been found by the side of the road with his mum that had passed away after a vehicle incident. Lyndal tended to the echidna for several days to ensure that he was healthy and well and ready to make his own way in the world.

This artwork is on exhibition at the Puffing Billy Visitor Centre, Emerald Lake from the 2nd of April through to mid June 2022 alongside many of my other anthropomorphic works.
