Héméra est un projet personnel réalisé à partir d'écorce de chêne-liège trouvé lors d'un voyage. J'ai voulu redonner vie à cet élément naturel mort, le transformer en luminaire d'intérieur pour lui offrir une nouvelle fonctionnalité et le faire ainsi revivre. La lumière, qu'on aperçoit à travers les fissures du bois, laisse suggèrer de l'énergie, de la vie que cette écorce protège comme elle protegeait autrefois un arbre du froid, des insectes et des intempéries.
Héméra is a personal project created from the bark of an cork oak that I found during a trip. I wanted to give a new life to this dead natural element, transforming it into an interior light in order to offer to it a new utility and so a new role. The light that we glimpse through the crack of the wood, suggests some energy, some life that this bark is protecting as it did earlier in it's life, protecting a tree from the cold, insects or bad weather.
