    In “Still Life with Color” the primary subject of the study is color as I arrange fruit in groups of shades and tints of red, green, yellow, and purple, and eventually a grouping of all those colors together. Color is the reason for arranging fruit in a given configuration and it leads to a discovery of shape that results. And it is an unlimited richness of interaction of color and shape that I have found in these still life arrangements. Within the color and shape—and the marriage of the two—I have found a wealth of stories ripe with character and humor, personalities and symbolism, ready to be interpreted by the viewer in accord with his or her individual sensibility. Full of life and joy, these photographs represent the abundance of perceptual experience one encounters in the simplest aspects of everyday life. Read Less
