In the upcoming five weeks Host Cathelijne Blok will meet the curators of the Rijksmuseum to learn more about women in the Rijksmuseum collection.
Today, on International Women’s Day we’re launching the first episode of our series Women of the Rijksmuseum. Host Cathelijne Blok, founder of The Tittymag, meets up with curator Ilona van Tuinen in the Gallery of Honour to discuss the work of Judith Leyster, the first Dutch woman master painter of the 17th century.
In the second episode of Women of the Rijksmuseum, host Cathelijne Blok and curator in training Femke Valkhoff talk about a 17th-century portrait of Maritge Vooght by Frans Hals. It turns out she was quite a famous beer brewer! 🍺
