Final project i made for my graduate degree on 2007. Jamu is traditional medicine in Indonesia. It is predominantly herbal medicine made from natural materials, such as parts of plants such as roots, leaves and bark, and fruit. It has become a cultural heritage passed down through generations. This book try to capture the history of this medicinal use in traditional community life, the equipment used to made and manner of manufacture, through illustration of simple recipes for natural beauty treatments for Indonesian women.
This objective was to save this art of concocting herbal medicine as a cultural heritage, and bring that back into today's Indonesian women modern life.
