This is a documentary I have been working on for the last four years. This film is about an impoverished Afro-Ecuadorian town whose athletes are Ecuador's top soccer talent and took Ecuador to the World Cup in 2002 and 2006, yet they remain marginalized. DreamTown follows a pro, a protege, and a novice's pursuit to make it pro--with the weight of their family's survival and community hopes riding on their shoulders, they compete to bring back more than just a medal.
