A still short series of skulls inspired by movies just for my own amusement.
Hand made clay scull.
The cranium is egg-shaped like those ancient artificially deformed found in the Andean Paracas or Peruvian cultures. This proces of shaping the skull made the brain bigger and was probably a sign of wealth or high rank.
I burned the skull in two stages to avoid cracks. First in 900°C, then 1200°C.
Half dried cranium with almost ready teeth. Here I'm working on the jaw fitting the upper and lower teeth.
First shaping of the skull.
Unpainted jaw. A bit too big for a normal human being I think...
Complete set ready for detailing.
Cracks and recesses added.
