Canon Canada Pro. Camera
Website Redesign
Date: 2010
Role: UX designer and art director. In this project, I worked closely with a team that composed of information architect, engineer lead, and product manager. We shared the business goals and ideated design solutions that were technically sound and feasible.

GOAL
• Design the site with the professional look and feel that conveys the high-end quality.
• Showcase professional camera products through high-quality photography portfolios.
• Connect professional photographers' work in social theme to engage and inspire customers
• Drive conversion to the online store. (Bring the customer to the Canon Canada eCommerce website)

MOODBOARD
Moodboard was used to generate art directions. Since was a website that promotes professional photographers, the color choice was limited to only the Canon Red/Black. Other design elements such as the mark and texture were derived from the camera for adding characteristics of professional DSLR. Interactive UI elements were created to help visualize the project's end state.

HOMEPAGE
Content on the site was designed to be consumed on mobile devices. Based on the content hierarchy, three tiers of content containers were designed to fit on the page cross platform. Hero (Top), 2 column block (bottom), and 3 column block (bottom).
Product promotion was design in 4 columns with horizontally scroll.
