When Furla launched its first and second collection featuring Hello Kitty’s characters in 2018 and 2019, we supported them in the creation of all the visual assets for a 360 communication, developing videos and images for social media, website, newsletters and the international stores network.

In 2019, for the second edition of the Furla Hello Kitty collection, we produced a series of short videos, animating Hello Kitty and My Melody with small movements, compliant with the very strict guidelines shared by Sanrio, the Japanese company that licenses the character.
We developed 7 animations showing Hello Kitty and My Melody interacting with the Furla bags in outer space, choosing a retro mood and a grainy texture that gave more depth to the scenes and the designs.
For the first edition of the collection, in 2018, we designed an entire world around Hello Kitty to depict her travels through Italy. Starting from the real historical buildings and architectures, we illustrated and animated the most famous landmarks of 6 main Italian cities.
For each selected city, we re-created with Illustrator 6 main monuments. Other architectural elements were designed to suggest a style continuity between the videos. We also inserted some typical elements to characterize each city, like a “Pizzeria” sign in Naples, several skyscrapers in Milan or the arcades of the city center in Bologna.
The scenes are built using layers and a parallax movement, so that the fixed camera and the shifting layers emphasize the perspective and suggest a sense of depth of the image.
