Assignment: Re-brand a place
About the City: Minneapolis, officially the City of Minneapolis, is the county seat of Hennepin County, the largest city in the U.S. state of Minnesota, and the 48th-largest in the United States.
Logo
Before
The task was to creat a new Logo that combines the current ideas of the city to represent itself. Right now they split it up into two designs with two websites: City of Lakes & City of Nature.
After
The new Logo can be used in many different aspects by using the ‘in‘ of Minneapolis. For example: Living in Minneapolis, Eating in Minneapolis, Traveling in Minneapolis or Art in Minneapolis.

These are just a few ideas on how the city could represent itself at fairs or exhibitions all over the state Minnesota or all over the U.S.
Every topic has its own color that can be found throughout the concept.

City Signage
Every sign implicates the same structure:
- Colors of the corporate look behind the outlines of the lake on the right sight.
- Name and information about the place on the left.
Attached to a wall in an angle of 90 degrees the sign integrates its surrounding by looking through it while reading.
For the mockup the text and outlines of the lake have been edged into the acrylic glass.
The colors behind the lakes were printed onto acetate paper, which has been then sticked at the back of the glass.

Example of a content page. The highlight color for headlines, links or backgrounds depents on the information that is presented on the page. (e.g. light turquoise for »Culture in Minneapolis«)
