The black history leader I chose for Project 1 is Langston Hughes. Hughes was a poet, social activist, novelist, playwright, and columnist. He most recognized for being a leader of the Harlem Renaissance

The quote I will be using from him is from a poem he wrote entitled "Dreams". The quote is "Hold fast to dreams, for if dreams die, life is a broken-winged bird that cannot fly".
