The Darkness II is an intense first person shooter that puts you in the role of Jackie Estacado, don of a New York crime family and wielder of an ancient force of chaos known as The Darkness.

For the online campaign, 2K came to us for a high impact takeover that would showcase the two evil snakes that the main character Jackie uses to grab and tear his enemies to pieces. I designed and concepted the original storyboards for the takeover and then worked with a very talented 3D artist and motion artist who brought the concept to life. This video is best viewed with the volume turned all the way up. :)
I worked with our Key Art designers to create the image below. In the story, our main character Jackie tragically loses his girlfriend Jenny. The concept that we came up with was Jackie holding his beloved Jenny as smoke in his arms. I created Jenny out of images of smoke and then worked with another artist who created and composited the scene together.
