“Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde” is an illustrated, hardcover book with an open spine lined
with newspaper pattern paper.The illustrations are sequenced to create a visual narrative
that embodies the mysterious vibe of the novel.
The elements of the layout such as font choice, column and margins proportions
or chapter opening pages are inspired by the books created in the XIXth century.

The text is evenly interspersed with full spread illustrations that consist
of 2-4 images in a sequence to introduce a movie-like narrative.
Drawings are greyscale and made with mixed media (gouache, ink and colored pencils).

The book mock-up I've made is hardcover and has an open back lined with a newspaper print paper.
It refers to the old way of strengthening the book spine where sometimes
unexpected pieces of other publications were used as a lining.
