This project was purpose was to create a fragrence gift set. I completely made up a brand and design from scratch. The materials are special kinds of shiny paper that was handpainted with gold flaking in the shape of Sakura (cherryblossom) petals. The handles were hand braided ribbon and the perfume bottles were recycled and revamped for this project.

In Japanese culture the symbolism for Sakura (cherry blossom) trees goes back hundreds of years. The significance of the cherry blossom tree represents the fragility and the beauty of life. It's a gentle reminder that
life is almost overwhelmingly beautiful, but that it is also tragically short. This fragrance captures the beautiful smell of the Sakura trees to serve as a reminder - though our time here is not long, every moment is as
beautiful and fragile as sakura blossom.
