The 1% is a collection of objects that serve the elite of the Millennial Generation. As the first age group taught from childhood to prioritize the self above all else, today’s upperclass twentysomethings feel entitled to success. As a result they will often fail to meet their expectations as they build careers, and a looming sense of dissatisfaction will taint the perspectives of America’s young adults.

The 1% questions the definition of a "problem" from a privileged Millennial point of view.  The series addresses minor inconveniences that result in unjustifiable complaint. The satirical collection provides tangible solutions to today’s problems, calling attention to the banality of the modern condition while mocking the Millennials’ superficial nature in the quest for self-fulfillment.

The RISD Store was generous enough to showcase the collection in December 2013.
