On any given Sunday, any given preacher usually isn't able to cover everything that they want to cover, and there is always more depth in the scriptures they use. That's where the idea for "After The Sermon" was spawned. A volunteer at the church started the podcast with one of our Pastors and a rotating list of guests. The podcast grew, and in order to be able to improve it, I took over the production. 

Below is a sample of a typical episode before I took over production. They would use our live stream setup on our Sunday morning stage to record, which didn't allow for mixing the voices appropriately after the podcast was done recording. 

When I took over, I moved the host, preacher, and guest to wireless lavalier mics, more comfortable chairs, and eventually moved them to a more "living room" style set that was comfortable and warm in tone. We also made a lot of changes to the goals of the conversation, and have continued to fine-tune the process to make it better. I record each week on a two-camera setup, with wireless mics that I can mix and EQ after recording is done to get a more consistent product.
