Baltimore photographer John Waire was referred to me for a very interesting and fun project. John wanted me to do something with a blog post from Seth Godin entitled Soles. He wanted something that was beautiful to look at for the post he found incredibly inspiring, and I must agree it is incredibly inspiring. Since it speaks of individual moments and making one's mark I felt that the fact that screen printing is never absolutely perfect would bring individuality to each print. I altered type and created this pattern of ligatures and swashes to create the piece and give it a feel of the mechanical and hand combined. I'm also told that a copy of this is going to be given to the man Seth Godin himself, I'd love to know his thoughts on it. :)
