Radio add included in a multi-media campaign for Vigo Council in order to improve the city's behaviour socially and environmentally. In this case this advert recommends the use of the helmet when driving a motorcycle.

The ad starts with the definition of the word 'ornament', and gives example of what could be considered an ornament: a flower pot, an earring... While this description is being given, a soft, relaxed, friendly happy music sounds in the background. The narrator changes his tone to a more serious voice when states that the helmet is not an ornament, your head is not an ornament... your life is not an ornament.

Vigo has a high number of motorcyclists, overall daring young scooter motorists who zig-zag along the streets without thinking of the consequences of driving without wearing their helmet on. You will see many of them keeping their helmets on top of the back seat or hanging from their elbow. There are many accidents with horrible consequences which could have been easily avoided by the simple use of such an useful (not ornamental) item.
It is now compulsory that motorcycle drivers and passengers wear their helmets while riding their motorcycles.
