BUNGIE - DESTINY 2 (KF MOTION DESIGN WORK)

I've worked on projects with Bungie over the past few years, spanning the releases of Destiny 2: Shadowkeep to Destiny 2: The Final Shape, and beyond. I also helped announce the next game, Marathon.

Working with Bungie has been a dream. I was 9 years old when I told my family I was going to work for Bungie when I grew up. It took 25 years for that to happen, but I want to emphasize how fortunate I feel to work with some stellar people at Bungie on my favorite game.

There would be no way of showing all the work I've actually done for Bungie, so I've created a reel with some of my favorite things and a bunch of frames that I love from various projects I've been on.





END CARDS - SEASONS, EVENTS, DUNGEONS, RAIDS

I've worked on more seasons and events than I can name at this point, all have been 
special and fun in their own way but these are a few of my favorites.




BUNGIE LOGO EXPLORATIONS

Sometimes we get the creative latitude to play around with connecting the Bungie logo into a seasonal or annual release, and it's always one of my favorite things to work with. These two are done in collaboration with Chris Fitzgerald (Cyticre).




TRICORN REFRESH

These are a handful of frames from the Destiny 2 Tricorn logo which is periodically updated. I explored ideas of making the tricorn logo being represented by the different enemy factions, different planetary environments, and the different elements within the Destiny world (Arc, Solar, Void, Stasis). 

Ultimately, we landed on a nice design and animation that pulled in a few aspects of all the ideas, but most importantly it leaned into a very intrinsic 'Destiny' feel.

NOTE: The six explorations below the video are just ideas that I came up with, they are not official Bungie designs, nor are they intended to be used officially in the future. I'm sharing simply for the sake of showing my range / capability.



DESTINY 2 - BEYOND LIGHT (LIVE STREAM REVEAL COUNTDOWN)

I created this 10 minute long countdown asset which played on livestreaming services like Twitch prior to the announcement of 'Destiny 2: Beyond Light'. The idea is that it calls out all of the DLC or major expansions to Destiny 2 and takes the audience back through all of those moments of time that have made up the multi-year journey players have gone on. Comments were flying in the chat reminiscing about different times and moments players experienced together, and was a truly fun and nostalgic piece of creative to amp the audience up for the next chapter of Destiny 2.

DESTINY 2 - THE WITCH QUEEN

In July / August of 2021, I helped Bungie create all the motion graphics for 'The Witch Queen' announcement showcase. My motion work begins at at 1:11:24 and lasts until the end. It was incredibly fun to be part of a project like this and see the reaction of the player base in real time. PERSONAL MUSINGS

I love this game. I mean, I have a gigantic Saint-14 half-sleeve tattoo on my left arm, so I definitely spend some free time having fun with the design language and creative space I'm fortunate to work on. These aren't official assets, they're just my version of "Fan Art" that I still create even though I work at Bungie. Enjoy!
