The first object I was drawn to further develop was my crystal paper weight, an item I gravitated towards because of the purple range hues that shifted depending on how the natural light beamed on the crystal. I used various brush strokes to play with the shadowing  along with working to create dimension to the crystal from different angles. My artistic decision was to focus more on line detailing within the crystal so it would appear light and glowing and create more shadow depth outside of the crystal. I found the crystal had similar qualities to a lotus flower which symbolizes spiral awakening for that reason I created a yoga retreat poster in connection to the crystal. What drew me into further developing the Black Forest cake was the range of texture in the toppings particularly the flakes of dark chocolate circling the sides. I found the red in relation to the rough brush strokes offers boldness and energy to the cake which drew me to  connect  the item to the Virgin Money London Marathon fundraiser in 2018 that included 13 British Bake off stars in a marathon to support Great Ormond Street Hospital Children’s Charity.
