Inspired by my past as a ballet dancer, my work is essentially about the parallels of dance and visual art. I typically work on a large scale because the physicality of full body involvement is a crucial part of my process. Each piece displayed contributes to a narrative theme based on my transition from dance to visual art. Beginning with observational interpretations, I have gradually moved into a "mapping" methodology, which can be observed in the second half of my series. Now, as I am redirecting my focus, I plan to extend my fascination with maps and narrative tendencies into my illustration practice. Read Less
