Lo Scapa Flow è una baia situata nelle Isole Orcadi, nota per avere ancora sulle spiaggie ruderi di sottomarini della prima e seconda
guerra mondiale. Questo luogo affascinante è stato fonte di ispirazione per il lavoro di questo album e dove John Wills passava molte tempo a registrare paesaggi sonori in field recordings e da queste prime bozze la scelta dell’utilizzo della parola "foolscap".
L'idea del concept grafico per la copertina è stata l'unione fra un estetica immaginaria vintage con un elaborazione grafico-tipografica fra foto, fonts e i testi delle traccie, qualcosa che potesse ricordare l’identità stilistica di certe locandine di b-movies o dei film noir anni '60/'70, ma con un aspetto visivo più contemporaneo.

Scapa Flow is a bay located in the Orkney Islands, known for still having the ruins of submarines of the first and second
world War. This fascinating place was a source of inspiration for the work of this album and where John Wills spent a lot of time recording soundscapes in field recordings and from these first drafts the choice of using the word "foolscap".

The idea of the graphic concept for the cover was the union between an imaginary vintage aesthetic with a graphic-typographic elaboration between photos, fonts and the texts of the tracks, something that could recall the stylistic identity of certain posters of b-movies or of the 60s / 70s film noir, but with a more contemporary visual aspect.
