The photographs taken throughout this category all work together to create a story. The series of photoshoots that follow represent a four-course meal from four different countries around the world. This was done to create an exciting appetising experience that brings diverse cultures together through food.
Portugal
We begin the evening in Portugal in the region of Vinho Verde, where a fresh and zesty glass of “Casal Garcia Rosé” is served. As the rosé splashes into the wine glass, it brings out its youthful freshness and summer aromas.
Italy
We then head to Italy where we begin our meal with a delightful starter presented in two different ways. The starter consists of tomatoes and parmesan cheese all drizzled with olive oil, balsamic vinegar and mixed herbs. The red throughout the image represents the vibrance of italian food.
England
We then go North to England for the main course which is a selection of two dishes. The first being traditional “Fish and Chips” presented in the old fashioned manner. The second being a “Steak Pie” with a hint of gravy. Bright, bold, colonial colours add to the flavour.
South Africa
We finally end the evening in South Africa with a choice of two desserts. The first being the traditional “Milk Tart” which captures the flavours and essence of cinnamon that makes it well loved. The second being the traditional “Koeksisters” finished off with a few raspberries.
