Environment (3D/2D)

The assignment is to design an environment, in my case in outer space. Since my theme is ancient Egypt, I had the idea of giving the Egyptian gods their own planet in space with floating piramids and an etherial soft feel to it. With lots of pinks and purples instead of the usual blue, green or red you usually see in the regular ancient Egyptian culture.
While the earth style of Ancient Egypt looks super colourful and decorated, I wanted to make my environment of the gods' planet more stylized, royal and fancy looking. Like all offerings to the gods and the riches were transported here.
So I made this board to illustrate what I was going for. I will make the reds, greens, and blues, pink, purple and a peach red. I will keep the golden and white accents and sand and stone textures. I want to make my environment dynamic by including clouds and stars to imply the composition.
So when I had figured out my plan, I started blocking out the vibe i had in mind. It was fun to figure out how to make the sand look like desert sand. The piramids were an easy task. When I had made all my shapes I sketched out my composition and moved the camera around to find a similar one in my blockout.
Using pictures to photobash my 3d model I made the first draft:
However, I was not completely happy with it and decided to ask for feedback.
I got the comment from my teacher that the composition I chose was a bit bland. It was more like you were observing and not like you were actually in it.
With that information, I re-did my blockout and re-textured the new piramids, keeping the background and sand the same. After some struggles trying to figure out how the bottom of a piramid should look, I had my final product:
