"The Situationist" is part of annual exibition "IDEOLOGIES AND IDEALS" at Museum of Contemporary Art in Novi Sad. This project is a work of the six people: Tamara, Biljana, Stasa, Marijana, Tamara and Jelena. The aim of this utopian vision of Novi Sad is to create an environment based on Situationist revolutionary ideas. The new city was created from the parts of the other European cities such as Lisboa, Roma, London. Result of combining these urban plans and the new Situationis ideology is an interesting, inspiring, relaxing and healty environment for the living.

Situationist International is a unique critique of consumer, technological and capitalist society, that has a goal to direct society to a different level, the level of homo ludens.
Homo Ludens reflects the society of capabilities, in which the individual can express its full potential and live a life based on real and not derived needs.
Some interventions in built environment were required in order to create surroundings in which people could achieve the state of homo ludens.
Psihogeography is a common name for a range of strategies for exploring urban spaces. It is a study of patterns and specific effects of geographical environment that influence emotions and behavior of individuals. The most important of these strategies, dérive, was defined by the prominent situationist Guy Debord in 1959.
Dérive is a form of wandering and exploring different urban environments. That includes creative behavior and wakefulness of all senses, and thereby it deviates from the classical notion of walking through the city.
In order to incite to the wakefulness of senses and constant exploring of urban landscapes, they use the technique of active plagiarism, used only in literature until then. Détournement is the technique of taking parts of different entities and, by putting them in different relations, giving them a new functional frame.
Situationists never succeeded in bringing to life their alternative for the artificial world of advertising trends, mass-consumption and daily life misery. Masses shared their dreams only during the student protests in 1968, but they will be remembered as the utopians that launched the biggest wild strike in the history.
