“Girl with baloon” is one of Banksy’s most iconic pieces.

After it was sold for 860 thousand pounds, the frame has been turned into a shredder, cutting two-thirds of the work into strips of canvas. 

Banksy explained that his intention was to destroy it completely and he justified himself by saying: “during the attempts it always worked”.

Dopo essere stata venduta per 860mila sterline, la cornice si è “trasformata” in un tritadocumenti riducendo i due terzi dell’opera in strisce di tela.

Bansky ha spiegato che il suo intento era di distruggerla totalmente e si è giustificato dicendo: “Alle prova ha sempre funzionato”.

Ora ha un nuovo titolo. “Love is in the bin”.
