This project involved working with clay, plaster, liquid latex, liquid plastic and paint to create a mask. I took inspiration from Anubis, the ancient Egyptian jackal-headed god of the dead. I modelled the skull after real-life jackal skulls, and I referenced ancient Egyptian headdresses and depictions of Anubis in designing the ears. The process was a lot of fun.
