VINYL DESIGN: NOEASY STRAY KIDS

HOW IT WORKS: This design consists of a protective printed plastic cover in black, white and blue illustrator, which, once is taken off it shows the coloured picture of the album, in red tones. The illustrations are inspired by the animation on their music video THUNDEROUS; the main inspiration for this whole design. After opening you can find two vinyls in red and blue, along with the inside image in a double gatefold. The back works the same way as in the front cover, the protective plastic takes a different effect on it. Lastly, within the group, they divided themselves into three groups, subunits, and created three songs. To honour this different, but brilliant singles, I created cassette tapes for each one!

Noeasy, or NOISY, is stray kids’ first full album, a south korean eight-member boy group under JYP Entertainment… and it’s also currently the only album i listen to on replay.

K-Pop is quite well known for its culture and for how conceptual their groups and music are, which naturally allows the graphic design side of it to be incredibly creative and different from the western music industry. Thus, since i’ve always wanted to take on a project where I would turn an album of my liking into a Vinyl (and kpop rarely does vinyl), I decided to choose this one from my favorite group. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did!
