Mein finales Designprojekt an der Uni. Eine Reihe von Videointerviews mit 17 internationalen Studenten aus 14 verschiedenen Ländern.
Ziel war es, eine nützliche Ressource für die internationalen Studenten zu schaffen, um den Kontrast kultureller Normen und Hintergründe zwischen der Kiwi-Kultur und ihrer eigenen während des Studiums in Dunedin zu untersuchen und zu feiern. Indem ich auf unbeschwerte Weise über kulturelle Unterschiede nachdachte, hoffte ich, mögliche Sorgen der Schüler zu mildern und ihnen so zu helfen, sich in ihrer neuen Umgebung wohler zu fühlen. Dies wird hoffentlich dazu beitragen, ein kohäsives, multikulturelles Umfeld bei Otago Polytechnic zu schaffen.
Das Endergebnis dieses Projekts waren 9 dreiminütige Clips, in denen eine Reihe von Themen diskutiert wurden.

My final design project. A series of video interviews with 17 international students from 14 different countries.
The aim was to create a useful resource for the international students to examine and celebrate the contrast of cultural norms and backgrounds between Kiwi culture and theirs’ while studying in Dunedin. By reflecting on cultural differences in a light hearted manner I hoped to reduce students apprehensions and thus help them to feel more comfortable about their new surroundings. This will hopefully contribute to creating a more cohesive, multicultural environment at Otago Polytechnic.
