She is a creator of a cultural aesthetic that combines the culture of the African Diaspora and modern imagery. It seeks to connect the black diaspora to their African Ancestry.

The image resonates with me as Black mother to a Black daughter. The work is a refreshing mix of the old and the new. The past and the future.
