How I do it:
1) Start with a list! Keep brainstorming ideas and adding to it
2) Research and start sketching! How will all these elements fit in a single scene??
3) Original Pencil sketches are scanned and edited with Photoshop/Wacom Tablet
- until I am happy with the final composition!
4) Key elements are traced onto canvas for underpainting, sometimes outlined with bold ink brush
5) Painting is scanned at various stages and overlaid with original sketch using Photoshop
I appreciate how easy it is to edit quick-drying Liquitex Acrylic paintings
- change the Egret's pose...add the Ewe!
