A Jonesley Wedding | Logotype and Stationary
My good friends tied the knot this past Christmas season. I had the honor of being a groomsman and designing their invites. They got married at the beautiful Key West Garden Club in Florida, on December 27, 2013.
Erik and Sarah met in Pagosa Springs Colorado where they were attending Summit Semester. The day Erik arrived, he sat across from Sarah at dinner and remembered telling himself, "I think I might end up liking this girl." (Summit has a very strict rule that you are not allowed to start any relationships while attending) Both Sarah and Erik remained focused on growing closer to God, the other students, and learning how to think and be cultural leaders for the gospel. At times, it came across to Sarah that Erik was actually avoiding her. By the end of Semester, Erik had made his mind up that he wanted to het to know Sarah better. So before she left Colorado, he asked if he could visit her over New Years the same year. Sarah said yes, but was unsure if she really wanted him too.
Erik’s visit to NY came and went, and as Sarah was driving him to the airport, he told her about his interest in her and the possibility of a relationship. Sarah basically said no, but gave him the 'ok' to remain friends. Over the course of the next couple months, Erik would call Sarah or skype with her once a week. Just a few weeks before Easter, Sarah planned a quick spur-of-the-moment trip to see Erik in California. She wanted to see him in his own element with his family, and how he acted around his friends. That weekend sealed the deal. She told him, "If you want to date me, you have to ask my parents." So as Sarah flew away from LAX, Erik phoned her parents and asked if he could pursue a relationship with their daughter. The next day he gave her a call in-between her classes, asking her if she'd like to be in an exclusive relationship with the intentions of marriage.
The rest really is history.
