In northern California, a relatively small town is bursting with a message. God is real and God is good. Within the context of this message, there is a group of people seeing the things the bible speaks of actually happening in everyday life. A neighbor healed of lupus, a friend raised from the dead, a grandmother brought to peace with God before passing on. This is everyday life for Bethel Church in Redding, California.
They have a message that the world is wanting to hear. As Bethel begins to send people out, schedules begin to overlap, opportunities are missed, and the most apparent question is why are some cities and nations frequently visited, while others are missed.
We were tasked with creating a platform to manage this need. The map was the cornerstone of this application. It allowed travelers and managers to get a quick overview, compare regions, dates, and people. The trip request and approval process was the secondary feature allowing churches and organizations to make a request while simultaneously allowing travelers and supervisors to manage those trips. In the end, we designed a great solution that allows travelers to manage their schedule from beginning to end including changing dates, who they're traveling with, transferring a trip to another traveler, how a supervisor approves or denies a trip, and all of the alerts to notify the travelers and supervisors of overlapping dates.
This application needed to be clean, easy to use, and represent the Bethel brand. It was a very full and challenging project to work on, and I enjoyed every bit of it.
