I created this 28-page booklet for my client, who is a handmade jewellery designer. The catalogue consists of four different kinds of paper, thicknesses and textures ( cardboard, transparent paper, writing paper, charcoal drawing paper ). The aim of the difference in papers is to try and convey the variety of materials she uses and the different feel of each of them.
In this project I have used three different paper sizes to try to reflect the difference in sizes and geometrical shapes she works with in her pieces of art .
Because of her studies in scenography and her theatrical approach and the effect it has on her jewellery I decided to make a black and white printed leaflet to create a scenographic, low lighted atmosphere.
The main goal of this catalogue is a first contact with the process of her work mostly to give a feeling of her style and aura and her way of working, picturing drafts of her designs and scanning some of the materials she uses such as thread, string, gold dust etc.
The catalogue has two different covers which have a business card attached.
