CONNECTING PAST AND FUTURE
This project was one of my first graphic design assignments done in 2020. We were to use two artists chosen from a list and create posters and a catalogue referencing their styles. I used Margaret Armstrong an illustrator and graphic designer from the United States and Yusaka Kamekura a graphic designer from Japan.
The challenge was to find ways to represent the style of these artists in original designs. Mr. Kamekura’s designs tend to be bolder and more energetic while Ms. Armstrong’s were graceful and organic. I tried to reflect these in the posters and make mentions to my favorite works and the analysis in the catalogue.
