Designed for the 2013 ArtZept competition "Eating in Style", the objective was to design a set of seafood cutlery, consisting of a platter, various forks and spoons, a fish knife, shrimp scissors and a crab cracker.

Inspired by dwindling seafood stocks, MisàNu is our attempt to encourage a dialogue between the diner and the food being consumed on their plate. Each piece contains a skeletal fish form encased in pink glass, giving each piece a visceral feel. In reference to these forms, the name MisàNu becomes particularly apt, coming from the French expression Mis à Nu, or 'laid bare'.

Careful attention was also given to the ergonomics of each piece in order to give a pleasurable feel in the hand, with rounded edges and carefully contoured profiles, in addition to maintaining overall functionality.
