Based in Silicon Valley, Scotsman is a scooter brand that makes the world's first fully connected, all-carbon fiber, custom 3D-printed electric scooter.
With a mission to build beautifully designed and poewrfully engineered e-vehicles, they use a state-of-the-art 3D-printing process that can deliver a tailor made frame which fits the scooter's owner body size and riding style.

Scotsman challenged VOLTA to create their visual identity and visual guidelines: it had to represent the message behind its name (cool, confident, authoritative and iconic) and appeal to the modern commuter with a classy and advanced product that aims to be unreservedly sophisticated.

To create this brand, we decided to blend two worlds/concepts: tradition, represented by the iconic Scottish tartan patterns, and the digital world, represented by the hash symbol. Together, they create the modern and aspirational aura (and symbol) of Scotsman, helping the brand to deliver their promise to make e-mobility desirable.
