Grand Salvador Dali and terrible customer?
Recently I’ve received in a social network popular designer joke:
“The client wanted to place on the whole back of the business card Dali’s painting “Dream Caused by the Flight of a Bee Around a Pomegranate a Second Before Awakening”.
Designer:
- Proportionally picture and business card do not match, so either we shall crop it a little, or white edge stays.
Client:
- Don’t crop anything just draw further what’s missing.
Designer:
- To draw further Dali’s painting?
Client:
- Yes, aren’t you a designer?!"
I was in a good mood and thought – you may laugh at it but it happens. The most interesting was that I decided to try….
After two free evenings, lots of coffee was being drunk and cookies were destroyed, spent about 5 hours of my time and I got this:

I am happy with the result.
Although there are many shortcomings, but in a business card or even euro flyer format errors will be hardly noticeable. Most of the time took fitting technical components and adaptation to the canvas with the noise, but not as difficult as it has been told in a joke.
Now I will tell to my customers - I can finish Dali’s painting, I saw everything ... And go into the sunset, becoming a pomegranate ..
