Help Me To Remember is an attempt to fight the loss of precious childhood memories. I try to figure out what my mother and I are looking at so intently in my favourite photograph of us, through play. Because she is no more, and no one else was privy to this moment we shared I will never have a right answer i.e. the puzzle can be solved potentially but not really. This puzzle marked the begin for my love of wood as a material, object making, and my exploration of the ideas of childhood and understanding my own attachment to it as the only time I had with my mother.
