Bandung is amongst the most popular tourism cities in Indonesia which is significantly affected by the global pandemic. The decline of tourists visiting Bandung has caused it to suffer economically. In order to attract tourists for coming to the city well known for its history, culture, nature, culinary, and shopping, a multi-functional building complex will be built at Dago, one of the city's most popular disctricts. This complex comprises of a bed and breakfast hotel with 2+ star hotel facilities, such as a restaurant, bar, and gym; an Exhibition Hall to showcase the masterpieces of Bandung local artists; a communal space to encourage collaboration between communities; also a microshop selling local crafts. The building masses are to be arranged within an atmosphere integrated with open spaces. This massing system is considered adaptive with people's extra need of fresh air nowadays.

Senyawa Hotel and Exhibition Hall has a simple design conforming with local culture. The roof chosen, the stacked one, simplifies the one used by Gedung Sate. Besides it's cultural value, the roof type also supports the complex idea to reduce air conditioning usage: allowing the heat to flow out of the building through the slith between the stacks. Additionally, minimizing the surface facing east and west prevents the building masses from absorbing too much heat. The hotel itself puts an attempt on implementing cross ventilation system, though inconsiderably, by creating two side of openings intermittently between the guest rooms.
