JaBCHA |Jamaica Business Council for Health Awareness
JaBCHA commenced operation as an organization dedicated to providing persons affected by HIV/AIDS and related illnesses with affordable and self-initiated HIV-prevention strategies and programmes they can use to protect their own health. JaBCHA’s role was to engage and collaborate with advocates, health leaders and those affected to raise awareness about HIV/AIDS and HIV prevention products. Through working partnerships at the local (community) and national level, JaBCHA has helped build HIV/AIDS health awareness infrastructure in parts of Jamaica and in selected target segments of the local populace where the need is greatest
As a Foundation with a national focus and having been given a broader, the Foundation is now seeking to reposition itself as a non-profit entity organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes associated with supporting health awareness and universal access to healthcare.
